Otto Skorzeny (1908 - 1975)

Hitler's number one commando in WWII, Sturmbannfuhrer Otto Skorzeny was in command of the raid in 1943 that rescued Italian dictator Benito Mussolini who had been overthrown and imprisoned by the Italian government. In addition when Hungary's regent , Admiral Horthy was secretly negotiating to surrender to the Red Army thus cutting off a million German troops, Skorzeny led a raid in Budapest to kidnap Horthy's son and forced his father to resign and install a pro-Nazi government.

Typed letter in Spanish signed by Skorzeny on 13 June, 1967 mentioning the 'Legion Niederlande' and the National Committee of Free Germans. Framed to 37cm x 43cm.
